House History in half an hour – Tuesday 4 June 10.30-11.00
Researching the history of your house can be both interesting and rewarding. Not only can you learn about the landowner and developer, and subsequent owners and inhabitants, but you can also see how the neighbourhood grew and developed over the years. Title deeds, land registers, sasines, testaments, inventories, maps and newspapers can all help tell the story of your house. Also, a well-presented house history could be a valuable asset if you are marketing your property.
