Thunderpoints Are Go…
Thunderpoint Publishing authors Andrew C Ferguson, Margot McCuaig and Kevin Scott get dark, menacing and surprisingly funny for this year’s Byres Road Book Festival. Join them on September 21st at Waterstones as they get to their heart of their Glaswegian and Edinburgh characters and settings. The three authors, whose novels incorporate missing coffins, dead bodies and even the Virgin Mary, will be reading for their work at an event which promises dialogue, debate and more than a little dark humour.

Kevin Scott is a Glasgow-based author and journalist. His debut novel Dead Cat Bounce was published in 2017 by Thunderpoint Publishing. Telling the story of two estranged brothers forced into reconciliation when the coffin containing their 11 year-old half brother is stolen the day before his funeral, Dead Cat Bounce has been very well-received and was short listed for the Sceptre Prize. A graduate of the University of Glasgow’s Creative Writing MLitt – he is also business correspondent at The Herald.(www.facebook.com/kevinscottauthor/)

Andrew C Ferguson is a lawyer, writer and musician living in Fife. His debut novel, The Wrong Box, is a crime caper set in the misleadingly staid world of Edinburgh commercial property lawyers. With a client dead in his bath, Simon English has to enlist the help of housing scheme savant Karen Clamp to help reach the bottom of a criminal conspiracy, with explosive consequences for the entire city. But first he has to stop listening to his python…
A published poet and short story writer, Ferguson currently plays in two Edinburgh-based bands, Isaac Brutal and Tribute to Venus Carmichael.
He writes a regular blog at andrewcferguson.com
