The Love of Print, Artist Demonstration
Kelvingrove Art Gallery and Museum, Argyle Street, G3 8AG
Come along and see Bronwen Sleigh demonstrating inking up and printing an etching plate. There will be an opportunity to find out more about Bronwen’s new print “Sinclair Drive” made especially for the show.
Bronwen Sleigh was born in Birmingham in 1980 and raised in mid-Wales. Sleigh received her BA in illustration from the Glasgow School of Art in 2002 and her MA in Fine Art Printmaking from the Royal College of Art in 2008. Sleigh works in printmaking, drawing and sculpture, taking inspiration from manmade structures set within a wide variety of landscapes. She investigates attitudes to space as expressed through architecture and its relationship to the landscape.
She has been connected with Glasgow Print Studio since graduating from her BA in 2002, starting out as a member of the gallery staff. She is now a workshop member, using the workshop on a regular basis.
The Love of Print runs until 12 March 2023, tickets are £7.50, concession £5, children under 16 are free.
