Starring Alan Rickman, Rebecca Hall and Richard Madden (Game of Thrones), this is director Patrice Leconte’s first English language film. Set in Germany just before the outbreak of the First World War, a young secretary falls in love with the wife of his employer. However, with war on the horizon, the two must separate and promise to reunite once the conflict is over. Spanning a decade, this is a sumptuous period drama based on Stefan Zweig’s novel Journey into the Past.
