The Carlton Jug Band
Friday 24 October, 2025 – 9.30 p.m. – late.
The Scotia Bar, Stockwell St, Glasgow G1 4LW
Hey pilgrims. The Carlton Jugband have got their monthly Barny Dance in The Scotia Bar on Friday 24th October from 9.30 till late. Get yerselves doon to this Olde Saloon in Stockwell Street to hear these lovable cowpokes belting out their favourite classics in pure outlaw style. Nae hitching rails at this one but theres plenty of space on the prairie facing the saloon where you can park your wagons and leave your steeds in the nearest stables. As usual, guns and spurs to be left at the door. Get yerselves doon tae this monthly, messy hoedown. Ye know ye want to xx
The Carlton Jug Band is a Glasgow based loose-knit country collective. The name is a paean to the old-time music that inspires the choice of music they play. Country and Bluegrass are the main inspirations behind the tunes but they aint afraid to let rip with a few Stones or Soul numbers. Good time vibes and darker reflections are combined in a dynamic set that is guaranteed to get you off your ass and in tears all at the same time.
