Tidelines are taking the festival online this September
What’s happening?
They are running a series of four sessions around the themes of Poetry, History, Fiction, and Crime over the Festival weekend 24–27 September. All free.

Thursday 24 September, 2020

Liz Lochhead: One of Scotland’s finest creative minds. A poet, playwright, and our Makar from 2011 to 2016, Liz will pay tribute to another Scots poet of international renown, Edwin Morgan, as part of the centenary celebrations marking Edwin’s birth.

Tapsalteerie Poets: Tapsalteerie Poets Sheila Templeton, Maggie Rabatski and A.J. Clarke will share poems in English, Gaelic and Scots from their recent anthology, Drochaid. Ross Wilson, shortlisted for the 2019 Saltire Poetry Book of the Year, will share poems from Letters to Rosie, a celebratory record of the first two years of his daughter’s life.
Friday 25 September

Sara Sheridan: Best-selling author of both fiction and non-fiction, Sara Sheridan. Her latest book asks ‘Where Are The Women?’, a timely exploration of public statues in Scotland.

Dane Love: Carrying on the history theme is Ayrshire-born author, Dane Love. Author of over 30 books with a Scottish flavour and a strong focus on local Ayrshire history, Dane’s events are always sold out at Tidelines.
Saturday 26 September

Kirsty Wark: One of the nation’s best known and most popular presenters and now a bestselling author, Kirsty’s events consistently attract sell-out crowds. Her most recent book, ‘The House by the Loch’, is a dramatic, moving novel inspired in part by Kirsty’s Ayrshire childhood memories. Kirsty will be in conversation with broadcaster and Tidelines favourite Theresa Talbot.

Sunday 27 September
Crime Panel: You’ll be delighted to know that Tidelines will be surfing a crime wave as part of the digital festival! Welcoming not one, not two, not three, but FOUR best-selling crime and thriller authors onboard
Mason Cross (writing as Alex Knight)

They’ll be shooting the breeze over all things crime related and reading snippets from their latest books.
