The Starry Skies
“The Starry Skies are one of the finest of the current crop, with new album ‘Be Kind’ arriving on October 12th. The title song is a real jewel, a kind of off piste power pop gem”. – Clash Magazine
“Starry Skies could just have provided the perfect soundtrack.” Scots Whay Hae!
” from the gritty passion of …Nathaniel Rateliff, to the infectious indie anthems of Teenage Fanclub, and even a hint of Bob Dylan. And tying it all together, the distinctive, raw emotion of front-man Warren McIntyre’s vocals, delivering thought-provoking and inspired lyrics.” The Vinyl Directory
The Social
The Social are a 4 piece indie band formed in early 2018. Based in Inverclyde, they boast members who have previously played in bands such as Dirty Kudos, The Fallen and The Faultlines.
Andy Pickett (Lead Vocals/Guitar), Scott Morrison (Guitar) and Bryan Power (Drums) started jamming together and writing songs in February 2018 and recorded their first single ‘Let You Down’ in the summer to help promote then band and find themselves a bass player. Davie Shaw (Bass) came on board and completed the line up.
The Social have various influences but have found a sound that resembles bands from early to mid 2000’s such as The Arctic Monkeys and The Fratellis.
