Blurb: Lizzie Eldridge is a Scottish writer and performer who’s been living and working in Malta since 2008. She’s the author of 2 published novels: Duende and Vandalism. Vandalism was published in 2015 by Merlin Publishers and last year, it was shortlisted for Best Novel by the National Book Council of Malta. It’s set in the West End of Glasgow where Lizzie grew up and is the story of a young woman whose best friend is dying of breast cancer when a man from her past reappears in her life. As well as being widely available in Malta, Vandalism is also being sold by Waterstones in Byres Rd, a location which has a central place within this novel.
On the evening of the 15th of June, Lizzie will be reading extracts from her work, followed by an interview and audience discussion. This free event takes place during the West End Festival and all are welcome to join in what promises to be a lively, stimulating and thought-provoking night.
