Freedom from Slavery 18:00 March 06th, 2016 CCA

Louise Welsh, novelist, and Jude Barber, architect will be joined by poet Dorothea Smartt, theatre maker Cora Bisset and Aidan McQuade, head of the Anti-Slavery Alliance, for an evening of thought-provoking discussion and performance.
In 2014, novelist Louise Welsh and architect Jude Barber curated The Empire Café (www.empire-café.org), an exploration of Scotland’s relationship with the North Atlantic slave trade.
For Declaration, Louise and Jude will revisit this award-winning project with a new focus on modern day slavery.
