Firewalk Challenge – The Blaze – King’s and Theatre Royal fundraising for Enable
Brave ‘soles’ from the King’s and Theatre Royal walked on fire to raise funds for the venues’ nominated charities Children 1st and ENABLE Scotland.
The thirty- three firewalkers included Ambassador Theatre Group staff, restaurant and corporate partners, and charity volunteers. They were treading on hot embers burning at a mean temperature of 668°C! To put it into perspective: paper combusts at 232°C and aluminium melts at 660 °C.
The sponsored event raised vital funds for two great charities: Children 1st, Scotland’s leading children’s charity, working to ensure every child and young person across the country has a happy, healthy, safe and secure childhood; and ENABLE Scotland, Scotland’s largest charity which supports people who have learning disabilities, their families and their carers.
So far the fiery theatricals have raised over £4,000 and counting, but there is still time to pledge your support by: DONATING HERE
