GFT
A newsroom drama with shades of All the President’s Men, Spotlight is this year’s Oscar frontrunner. In 2001, the Boston Globe’s investigative unit attempted to unpack the layers of cover-ups around abuse in their local Catholic Archdiocese. The investigation became a psychological endurance test for the highly skilled team, and led to revelations that impacted the entire Catholic Church. An all-star ensemble cast leads this gripping drama from the director of The Station Agent and The Visitor.
