‘Hollywood dreams turn queasy in David Cronenberg’s brilliant nightmare…’ – Peter Bradshaw
Canadian maestro Cronenberg returns with his latest look at the dark undersides of humanity, this time focusing on the grotesque caricatures that populate Hollywood, Babylon. An all-star ensemble cast portray the vacuous, the disillusioned and the boorish fictional stars of past, present and future. From Julianne Moore’s bitter has-been to Evan Bird’s uncouth child-star and Mia Wasikowska’s frighteningly determined Hollywood newcomer, no one is spared from Cronenberg’s acidic and cutthroat dissection of modern celebrity.
Glasgow Film Theatre, 12 Rose Street, Glasgow, G3 6RB.
