Pride Glasgow 19 July – 3rd August, 2014
Pride Glasgow returns for 2014 with a 16-day festival of events celebrating LGBT equality including the usual parade and street party, as well as Pride Day which includes a fairground, a community expo, a cabaret stage, marketplace, a youth space, a trans safe space and a great big concert featuring Heather Peace, Amelia Lily, Lucy Spraggan and Angie Brown.

Pride Parade
This year’s parade stars at clyde place and the route is below
Start Clyde Place, Over the George the Fifth Bridge onto Oswald Street continuing onto Hope Street, onto West George Street, around Nelson Mandela Place back onto West George Street, around George Square, down South Fedrick Street, onto Ingram street, down Glassford Street, onto Stockwell Street onto the Bridgegate, onto King Street and into King Street car park.
The parade assembly time is 9:30am and the parade will start at 10am and finish at the event site at 11:30 where those attending the event will be able to exchange their tickets and gain access to the event site and those who don’t will be able to leave the site.
The parade is free to participate in and floats and walking groups are welcome to take part. If you wish to put on a float or walking group please email Liam on LiamW@prideglasgow.co.uk, A walking group is a group of 10 or more people please note all floats and walking groups will be required to provide a steward in line with the ratio of 1 to 10 people.
The march will once again be led by the mighty Sheboom and with a Theme of Sports and Commonwealth is your chance to show your support to the LGBT communities across the Commonwealth, we will have limited placards, commonwealth nation flags and rainbow flags to help you make a statement on the day
