Southside Film Festival Film Club Presents: ‘Annie Hall’, The Glad Cafe, Shawlands, Glasgow
Tuesday, February 11, 2014 – 8 p.m.
The Glad Cafe
Woody Allen’s classic comedy about life and love for our Valentine’s Day screening.
The film follows the ups and downs of the relationship between Annie Hall (Dianne Keaton), a Waspy photographer from the Mid West, and Alvy Singer (Woody Allen), a Jewish New York comedian. The fact that Keaton and Allen were living together at the time of making the film gives their on screen relationship an added dimension.
The film won the Oscar for Best Picture in 1977-beating Star Wars! – and is just as funny, romantic and unmissable as it was back in the 70s.
