Explore Glasgow’s love-hate relationship with Brutalism through this interactive multimedia exhibition and trail, curated by Rachel Loughran and featuring the work of Glasgow based illustrator Nebo Peklo (Natalie Tweedie), well known for her distinctive illustrations of buildings and places in the city.

Journey from Anniesland Tower to the Gallowgate Twins gaining fascinating insights into the city’s Brutalist buildings past and present, with commentary from leading architects, academics and writers, as well as first-hand stories from those who lived and worked in these monumental structures.

Glasgow School of Art

The Glasgow School of Art is delighted to be one of the host venues for the Brutal Glasgow Trail, a free city-wide adventure exploring Glasgow’s iconic Brutalist architecture through art.

From 6–28 August, you can visit The Reid Building to discover one of eight striking illustrations by Glasgow artist Nebo Peklo (Natalie Tweedie), inspired by some of the city’s most recognisable buildings.
