Glasgow Short Film Festival presents Glasgow Toons! a special selection of vibrant animations from countries participating in the Commonwealth Games, and handmade animations by participants of workshops across Glasgow.

A folk tale from Papua New Guinea, an unlikely insect friendship in New Zealand, a treasured family recipe book from Nigeria; this funny, touching and unique selection of films from all over the globe celebrates companionship and community.

Information about the free July animation workshops can be found on the GSFF website.

Glasgow Toons! is part of the Glasgow 2026 Festival, supported by the Glasgow 2026 Festival Fund, Commonwealth Sport, the Scottish Government, Glasgow City Council and sportscotland.

Every child attending this Take 2 screening in partnership with Glasgow Short Film Festival will receive a free ticket for themselves and two free tickets for their accompanying adults. Free tickets are only issued on the day of the screening. Children under the age of 8 must be accompanied by an adult. Additional tickets and/or tickets purchased in advance cost £6.90 each.
