The Big Big World Festival bringing to Glasgow acts from Africa, Asia, the Americas and Europe - bringing the opportunity to see some wonderful acts.

The programme includes Toumani Diabate and his exciting large-scale Symmetric Orchestra, and Malian singer Kandia Kouyate also London-based jazz singer Juliet Roberts and Indian star Shubha Mudgal.

There will be a 'superb package of Buena Vista associates' (from the popular Buena Vista Social Club) as well as 'Big Big World's old friend, pianist Omar Sosa, in a trio with oud and Sufi singing master Dhafer Youssef'.

From the Caribbean there will be reggae with leading harmonisers, The Twinkle Brothers

Jazz will also feature in the programme with some great acts: the pianist Zoe, Rahman's trio and the guitar partnership of Philip Canada's most charismatic arrival in recent years.

Also featured are Allison Crowe, Angus Lyon and Ruaridh Campbell.

You can look forward to eight days of the best music on the plantet and an incredible mix of cultures new acts and established talents:
