Wild Men at Glasgow Film Theatre
6 – 12 May, 2022
Glasgow Film Theatre, 12 Rose Street, Glasgow G3 6RB
If the Coen brothers made a film in Danish it might look a little like Wild Men. Thomas Daneskov’s immensely entertaining crime story/mid-life crisis caper is marbled with comic moments and set amidst some spectacular scenery.
Martin (Rasmus Bjerg) has fled his family and the modern world to head into the woods and live off the land as his manly ancestors would have done. He even has a homemade Viking costume. His encounter with injured drug smuggler Musa (Zaki Youssef) marks the start of a beautiful friendship spent evading cops, criminals and harsh reality.
