Trumbo, 5 – 17 February, 2016, GFT

Breaking Bad’s Bryan Cranston stars as Dalton Trumbo.
Friday 5 – Wednesday 17 February
Running time: 2h4m
Dalton Trumbo wrote some of Hollywood’s most famous pictures, from the immortal epic Spartacus to Academy Award winners The Brave One and Roman Holiday. However, he did not receive credit for these films upon their release, and instead found himself on the Hollywood blacklist for ‘Un-American Activities’ during the country’s infamous investigations into communism. Breaking Bad’s Bryan Cranston brings the famed screenwriter to the screen in this warm biopic that uncovers the absurdity in a system that lambasted one of its greatest talents.
Specially commissioned programme notes will be available for this film.
