Little Shop of Horrors

The charming, kooky and hilarious 1950s musical sci-fi spoof Little Shop of Horrors returns to Glasgow starring X Factor’s Rhydian. Will he be able to control Audrey Two, the carnivorous plant with a jealous streak?
The Shawshank Redemption

The thrilling stage production of The Shawshank Redemption based on Stephen King’s short novel and one of the best movies of all time, nominated for seven Academy Awards, comes to the Theatre Royal. The play examines desperation, injustice, friendship and hope behind the claustrophobic bars of a maximum security facility.
The Shakespeare Review

The Commitments

Theatre Royal’s big Christmas show arrives direct from London’s West End The Commitments follows Jimmy Rabbitte, a young working class music fan, as he shapes an unlikely bunch of amateur musicians and friends into an amazing live act, the finest soul band Dublin has ever produced. The Commitments is a feel good celebration of soul with over 20 classics such as River Deep, Mountain High, Mustang Sally, I Heard It Through The Grapevine and Knock On Wood. (Mon 12- Fri 30 Dec)
Scottish Ballet Hansel & Gretel

Unwrap a tasty new Christmas treat with Scottish Ballet’s fantastical Hansel & Gretel.
In a small town, all the children have disappeared. Plucky Hansel and Gretel embark on an exciting adventure venturing deep into the enchanted forest to find their friends. This delightfully inventive brand new Hansel & Gretel takes creative twists and turns inspired by the Grimm Brother’s famous fairy tale – and the stories and imagination of the people of Scotland. A carousel of delicious treats from start to finish, Hansel & Gretel is full to the brim with magic and wit; with toys that come to life and a beautiful bewitching ballerina who is not at all as she seems.
Scrumptiously surreal and with more than a sprinkle of festive magic – take an enchanting journey with Scotland’s national dance company this winter.
Humperdinck’s evocative score is performed live by the Scottish Ballet Orchestra.

The Play That Goes Wrong

Faulty Towers meets Noises Off in the multi-award winning comedy The Play That Goes Wrong. The fall-of-your-seat-with-laughter show’s plot follows the Cornley Polytechnic Drama Society as they prepare to put on a 1920s murder mystery, but as the title suggests, everything goes wrong!
Not Dead Enough

TV presenter Laura Whitmore arrives in Glasgow in April To star as Cleo in the stage adaptation of Peter James’ Not Dead Enough. Based on the third novel in the author’s award-winning Roy Grace series and the third play in his box-office smash hit franchise, this one murder mystery no to be missed. (Mon 3-Sat 8 April)
