The Running Man + Q & A with Edgar Wright
Wednesday 11 March, 2026, 7.15 p.m.
GFT delighted to welcome director Edgar Wright (Shaun of the Dead; Scott Pilgrim vs. the World; Baby Driver) for a special Q&A following a screening of his latest film, The Running Man. Don’t miss a chance to spend an evening with one of modern cinema’s most exciting filmmakers.
Edgar Wright and star Glen Powell team up for a spirited take on Stephen King’s dystopian life-or-death gameshow thriller.
Desperate to save his sick daughter, working-class Ben Richards is convinced by The Running Man’s charming but ruthless producer to enter the deadly competition game as a last resort. But Ben’s defiance, instincts, and grit turn him into an unexpected fab favourite – and a threat to the entire system. As ratings skyrocket, so does the danger, and Ben must outwit not just the Hunters, but a nation addicted to watching him fall.
Tickets for The Running Man + Edgar Wright Q&A will go on sale tomorrow (Wednesday 18 February) at 12pm from glasgowfilm.org and the GFT Box Office. Please note: bookings are limited to four tickets per person. Buy tickets
“I had a great time shooting in Glasgow and turning it into a dystopian future on The Running Man. I also love the gorgeous Glasgow Film Theatre, so it’s a thrill to come back and finally screen it. Looking forward to being back in the city.” – Edgar Wright
