Named in honour of PPP’s founder, The David MacLennan Award aims to uncover new writing talent by providing first-time writers with the opportunity to have their work professionally developed and produced, before being presented for the first time on stage at A Play, A Pie and A Pint.

Stage 2 of The David MacLennan Award commences w/c 4th April, 2022 with longlisted candidates invited to submit a full 45 – 50 minute play, using the treatment they submitted in stage one as the basis of the play. Candidates will also be invited to join award-winning playwright Oliver Emanuel for a workshop to help further develop their idea and work towards a full draft of their script, with full scripts due to be submitted by 12pm, 29th July 2022.
A PLAY, A PIE AND A PINT – LUNCH TIME THEATRE
A new lunchtime play every week, running from Monday to Saturday at 1pm.
