Concert information
Here’s the perfect introduction to classical music for all ages!
Over the past two years the BBC’s Ten Pieces initiative has opened up the world of classical music to a generation of children, and inspired them to develop their own creative responses to ten specially-chosen pieces of music. This concert offers the chance to hear some of these works performed LIVE by the BBC Scottish Symphony Orchestra.
Featuring music such as Beethoven’s Fifth Symphony, Wagner’s Ride of the Valkyries and Stravinsky’s The Firebird, this event will bring these works to life in a concert for all the family that captures the unique energy and excitement of classical music. There’s no better way to introduce children to the amazing sounds of a live orchestra and some of the greatest music ever written.
Each concert will last approximately one hour with no interval.
Recommended for ages 8 +
Please note, the 1.00pm Ten Pieces concert will no longer go ahead. Please contact the box office if you have tickets for this concert.
