From Call Me By Your Name director Luca Guadagnino, comes this hotly anticipated homage to Dario Argento’s classic horror Suspiria. Set in Berlin, in 1977 (the year the original was released), Guadagnino reunites A Bigger Splash stars Tilda Swinton and Dakota Johnson to head up this hypnotic and disorientating thriller, with a haunting soundtrack from Thom Yorke. Enigmatic Susie (Dakota Johnson) arrives in Berlin to attend the world-renowned Markos Dance Company under the watchful eye of artistic director Madame Blanc (Tilda Swinton), just as another student vanishes. Some will succumb to the darkness swirling at the centre of the school, others will finally wake up…

The Scotsman’s Ali Harkness will introduce the 19.35 screening on Mon 19 Nov, as part of the Contemporary Cinema Course.
