?

I am writing this from the aeroplane on my way to Nashville leaving New York. A city I love so much. They may talk about?the mean streets but I have only found the people warm and ever ready to help a crazy Scotsman when he asks for directions?!!!i

I?glance back and see the Statue of Liberty in my view and I know I'm gonna miss this city!!

On Sunday i went to the M.O.M.A. and then walked down to the Empire State Building before returning to Brooklyn for my gig at night.I?was competing with the oscars which is massive here,so wasn't that great a crowd but the gig went really well at Googies Lounge in The Living Room. I?loved the venue with its bohemian feel and great layout and enjoyed playing a ten song set.

On Monday, my last day, I went to the Statue of Liberty, which was amazing, alsowent to the World Trade Centre which is always gonna be an eerily strange place to visit now, but worth it just to pay tribute. Then onto the East Village for a look at some vintage clothes shops. We then hit Times Square for the last shots for forthcoming video of track 'New York City Summers Day'.. S'gonna be great!!

Last gig was an open mic at the Sidewalk Cafe, a long running event - been around for over 17 years. It was great to see a slice of authentic New York music making. I?played two songs then had to go coz I had to be up really early for flight!!! The crowd loved them tho and i even had a?New York journalist there to see me..woohooo!!! Home to Brooklyn, slept less than i?should have, said goodbyes, train, bus, plane, now heading for next leg of journey......kicking Nashville........xx
