Reciprocal Systems of Health in the Climate Era – Exhibition at Advanced Research Centre, University of Glasgow

Designing Future Experiences – University of Glasgow (ARC) Review by Pat Byrne
Jim and I went along to the launch of this fantastic exhibition at ARC. Glasgow School of Art design students look to the future; exploring what health might look like in 1935. The focus of the exhibition is the result of Product Design students from the course Designing Future Experiences – a collaborative project partnered with the University of Glasgow’s Advanced Research Centre and Nesta, the UK’s Innovation Agency for Social Good. The hugely imaginative exhibition explores themes ranging from “personal, public and planetary health, to the values of collaborative creativity in defining how citizens and Artificial Intelligence might live and work together in the near future”.
The Exhibition runs at ARC, University of Glasgow, Chapel Lane, Glasgow from until 13th February.
Exploration into Reciprocal Systems of Health in the Climate Era has resulted in a very imaginative and thought-provoking presentation of “preferable ways of living and working in the future”.
There was a great turn out for the launch event and ARC’s large exhibition area was jam packed with people and buzzing with excitement. There was so much to take in with a diverse range of very powerful and unique displays. I am planning to return when it is quieter and I can spend more time absorbing the strong messages from the exhibition – I’m looking foward to it. .
It’s excellent that Glasgow University is opening its doors to the community and sharing the fascinating results of academic research; and with no entry charge!
