Glasgow-based Louise Welsh, award-winning author. has written six novels, produced many short stories and articles, written for radio and stage, including The Devil Inside – a libretto for opera. Louise was writer in residence for The University of Glasgow and the Glasgow School of Art (2010-2012), and she co-founded The Empire Cafe, an exploration of Scotland’s relationship with the North Atlantic slave trade, which was part of the Cultural Programme for the Glasgow Commonwealth Games 2014.
She is currently Professor of Creative Writing (English Literature) at Univesity of Glasgow’s School of Critical Studies.
