Preview: Parasite + Satellite Q&A with Bong Joon-ho-GFT
Monday 3 February, 2020 (18.00)
It’s the film we’ve all been waiting for, and you can believe the hype. This story of a family of scammers in South Korea is a darkly twisted comedy that’s up there with the best Coen Brothers movies.
The Park family are the picture of aspirational wealth. Sensing a golden opportunity, the destitute Kim family install themselves as skilled servants in the Park family home, pretending to be unrelated to one another while the Parks obliviously bankroll their entire household. When a parasitic interloper threatens the Kims’ newfound comfort, a savage, underhanded battle for dominance breaks out.
Our preview screening of Parasite will be followed by a satellite Q&A with director Bong Joon-ho.
