ENGLAND’S PREMIER PSYCHEDELIC-TRANCE-ROCK JAM BAND
Ozric Tentacles are, simply put, legends of the UK underground.
One of the most influential bands to emerge from the UK’s festival scene, “The Ozrics” layer ambient and ethereal landscapes with freeform dub trips, incredible rave grooves, and psychedelic progressive rock. Their aim is not just to make truly unique and culturally diverse music, but to harmoniously unite all in attendance, and create portals for astral travel. Most fans and listeners report feelings of euphoria, an immediate connection to nature as well as others around them, and intense feelings that they have transported to other dimensions or met with other-worldly beings. It’s an open exploration of music and the soul.
Last year Ozrics celebrated their 30th anniversary. To mark the date, they finally granted the wishes of many fans, by re-mastering and re-releasing a series of classics from the catalogue, which have previously been out of print for nearly 20 years. Ozric Tentacles “Vitamin Enhanced” Box Set contains the entire first 6 albums recorded by the band. These first six albums were originally only available on cassette, handmade by the band, and only sold at festivals and concerts. In 1993 these tapes were transferred to CD, and 1994 released limited edition box set, only 5,000 copies of this package were ever made, making it a rare treat for collectors. As time passed, with so many other releases to focus on, these albums fell out of print and distribution. Now they have finally been given the attention they deserve, countless hours of audio and visual re-mastering have restored this wonderfully unique package to a modern day standard that is sure to please any fan.
Ozrics are currently putting the finishing touches on their new double studio album, it will be their first double since the classic “Erpland” over 20 years ago. “Even after all this time, we’ve never been so excited or pleased with an album”, says Ed smiling, as usual. “We just can’t wait for people to hear this one. If (hypothetically), for any reason we would not able to make another album after this, we would be content in knowing we have had the opportunity to bring this particular musical journey to everyone.” Just prior to the release of their epic 90+ minute offering, the band will complete their 2014 tour dates through UK and Europe, where fans will get their first taste of tracks from the new album. Ozrics are currently on tour with special guest artist Natan Lenski, aka “MantisMash”. Natan has recently become a permanent member of Ozric Tentacles’ live electronic project “Nodens Ictus”. The Europe tour starts October 1st in the EU, and will also feature a few very special performances by Nodens Ictus along the way. If you are a fan of Ozrics and electronic music, then these performances come highly recommended! For the complete tour dates visit: www.ozrics.com
