Celebrating the 80th birthday of screen icon Jack Nicholson, we are screening one of his greatest performances ever. Adapted from Ken Kesey’s 1962 bestselling novel by Miloš Forman (Amadeus), the film features an unforgettable performance from Nicholson as the ingenious and heroic free spirit RP ‘Mac’ McMurphy, who leads an uprising in the men’s ward of a mental hospital run by the callous Nurse Rached. One of few films to win the ‘big five’ Oscars, One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest remains era-defining, and is considered one of the greatest American films of all time.
