Noirvember: Bound plus introduction at GFT
Sunday 6 November, 2022 at 4.30 p.m.
This screening will be introduced by Claire Biddles, Marketing Officer for Glasgow Film.
The Wachowski sisters made their unforgettable debut in 1996 with Bound, now considered a classic of lesbian cinema. In this stylish, gripping and very sexy neo-noir, ex-con Corky (Gina Gershon) teams up with her gangster’s moll lover Violet (Jennifer Tilly) to rob millions of dollars in stolen cash, pinning the blame on Violet’s boyfriend. An iconic queer film, and one of the all-time best depictions of the butch/femme dynamic on screen, Bound is proof that the directors’ flair for sleek visuals and efficient storytelling was there from the start.
Glasgow Film Theatre, 12 Rose Street, G3 6RB
