New Material Slam

POETRY SLAM – Open to everyone. But poets must only use pieces which have not been aired at a slam before. So this is the chance to win a slam when you’re not up against all those practised perfectionists who have been peddling the same poems for years. All poets go up to the mic twice – for 2 and a half minutes each time. Three poets in the final – three minute limit there. Winner will qualify for the Scottish Slam Championships 2017! Poets enter free. Public pay £4 – and are welcome to stay for the whole evening of entertainment, including bands and films of an anti-fracking persuasion.
