My Skinny Sister
5 – 7 January, 2016
The feature debut of writer-director Sanna Lenken explores the impact of a teenage girl’s eating disorder on the rest of her family, told from the perspective of her younger sister Stella. On the cusp of adolescence, 12-year-old Stella looks up to her talented and popular older sister Katja. However, after discovering Katja has been hiding an eating disorder from the rest of the family, Stella finds herself conflicted by feelings of loyalty and jealousy, and their sisterly bond is put to the test.
