To celebrate LGBT History Month the STUC LGBT Workers’ Committee presents a screening of Before Stonewall. This film is a decade-by-decade history of homosexuality in America from 1920s Harlem through the Second World War to the witch hunt trials of the McCarthy era, before ending at the Stonewall Inn, and the riots that sparked the birth of the modern Gay Rights Movement in the summer of 1969.
The film will be followed by a panel discussion.
