The final instalment of the Park Chan-wook’s ‘Vengeance trilogy’ follows Lee Geum-ja upon her release from prison, where she spent 13 years for a murder she didn’t commit. Enlisting the help of her former cellmates, she embarks on a journey to exact her revenge on the man responsible for her incarceration. Masterfully shot with an uneasy mix of black comedy, suspense and action, Lady Vengeance is stylistically impressive and gripping.
