What would a summer movie season be without an outing for the original summer blockbuster? Steven Spielberg’s 1975 shark saga transformed his career and set the standard for Hollywood, while frightening moviegoers out of the water for years. When pieces of human flesh wash up on the shore of a popular tourist resort, Police Chief Brody suspects the worst. But local officials, mindful of the lucrative tourist trade, refuse to put the island on a business-killing shark alert. After more deadly attacks, Brody recruits marine biologist Hooper and veteran fisherman Quint to hunt down the legendary beast, only to realise it is the shark that is hunting them.
