Returning to the director’s chair for the first time since 2012, Michael Haneke reunites Amour stars Isabelle Huppert and Jean-Louis Trintignant in this sharp drama. A well-off French family living in a bourgeois bubble in northern France are oblivious to the suffering surrounding them in the nearby port of Calais. As tensions rise and chaos mounts, the dysfunctional nature of the family surfaces.
