The film is a playful, exhilaratingly inventive reflection on the messy, heartbreaking business of unrequited love. Filmmaker Terence Nance is besotted with Namik Minter and aims to win and woo her by making a film that deconstructs a one-sided relationship defined by misread signals and casual rejection. He layers his film like a painting, rewinding to revisit key moments and incorporating animated sequences all to impress the woman he loves. A smart, sweet love letter that blends cinematic sleight of hand with heartfelt emotion.
