Get Out, Late Night at GFT
19 January, 2018 – 11 a.m.
Topping multiple ‘Best Film of 2017’ lists – including Empire and Sight and Sound – the critically acclaimed Get Out is equal parts gripping thriller and provocative commentary. When young African-American Chris visits his white girlfriend Rose’s family estate, he becomes ensnared in a more sinister real reason for the invitation. At first, Chris reads the family’s overly accommodating behavior as nervous attempts to deal with their daughter’s interracial relationship, but as the weekend progresses, a series of increasingly disturbing discoveries lead him to a truth that he could have never imagined.
