Franco-German Film Series
Wed 5 March — Wed 2 July 2014
CCA
We invite you to explore French and German film directors whose works challenge film aesthetics and focus on everyday life rather than on flawless narration.
Our selection films, most of them rarely screened in the UK, seeks to draw a parallel between contemporary French and German directors. It emphasises the origins and current state of auteur cinema in both countries and sheds a light on modernity and social realism in recent European cinema.
Taking place between March and July 2014, our monthly screenings commemorate the 10th anniversary of the cohabitation of Goethe-Institut and the Alliance Française in Glasgow.
Check back for information on upcoming screenings.
