Inbetweeners star Simon Bird makes a hugely impressive directorial debut with an adaptation of the award-winning graphic novel set to a score by Belle and Sebastian. Fifteen year-old thrash metal fan Daniel (Earl Cave, son of Nick Cave) and his mother Sue (Monica Dolan) share the same living space but are worlds apart. When Daniel’s eagerly awaited summer trip to visit his dad in America is cancelled, he faces six very long weeks of quality time with his mother.
