Busan Glasgow Inter-Cities Film Forum offers screening opportunities for artists and film makers in Busan, South Korea, and Glasgow, Scotland. The forum, led by Glasgow-based artist Trent Kim and Busan-based filmmaker, Yongseok Choi, aims to promote local art films abroad but outside the framework of international exchanges where local films are often forgotten. The forum is particularly keen to programme art films that unravel local stories, and challenge various preconceptions of film genre.
The featured films in our first screening are Mot by Hobin Seo (Korea), Long Inside Angle Shot by Jintae Kim (Korea), Sink Away by Marc Johansen, and The Lion and the Unicorn by Rachel Maclean, whose new exhibition Happy&Glorious will open at CCA on Sat 31 May.
