Blade of the Immortal marks Takashi Miike’s (13 Assassins, Audition) 100th film. Based on Hiroaki Samura’s manga series, this film tells the story of Manji, a highly skilled samurai, who becomes cursed with immortality after a legendary battle. Haunted by the brutal murder of his sister, Manji knows that fighting evil be the only way to regain his soul. He promises to help a young girl named Rin avenge her parents, but the mission will change Manji in ways he never could have imagined.
