The grey, lawless Calabrian Mountains are an area where honour demands respect and the slightest insult must be avenged. When Luciano leaves the family ‘business’ to dedicate himself to farming, his young son Leo cannot wait to fire a shot in anger. Leo’s impetuous actions propel the family into a bloody feud, transforming their lives into the stuff of Greek tragedy.
