A mysterious creature attacks two American college students who are backpacking across the Yorkshire moors. Although Jack falls victim to the beast, David is able to make it out alive when a local shoots the being dead. Awaking in a London hospital weeks later, David is taken in by a kindly nurse, only to discover that he is not the same as he once was… A classic horror that balances terror and gore with humour and humanity, all complemented by Rick Baker’s truly astounding effects work.
