Sunday 19 October 3.15 p.m.
This moving documentary accompanies social worker Dan Cohen to nursing homes, where individuals experiencing memory loss are revitalised through the simple experience of listening to music. The camera reveals the uniquely human connection we find in music and how its healing power can triumph where prescription medication falls short.
Followed by a post screening discussion with Anne Gallacher of Luminate Festival and Andy Lowndes from Playlist for Life, chaired by festival programmer Richard Warden.
Screening as part of Scottish Mental Health Arts and Film Festival, in association with Luminate: Scotland’s creative ageing festival.
