Rose of Nevada GFT
24 – 30 April, 2026
When the Rose of Nevada ship mysteriously reappears in a faded fishing village 30 years after vanishing, the locals view it as an omen that their luck might be changing. Nick (George MacKay) and Liam (Callum Turner) sign up with weathered veteran sailor Murgey (Francis Magee) to take the boat out, but when they return they discover they’ve sailed through time back to the 1990s, where they are greeted as though they are the original crew. Mark Jenkins’ use of 16mm lends the film a ghostly, tactile quality that fits perfectly with its haunting meditation on memory, dislocation and renewal.
