Community Procession and beginning of Open House weekend, with an afternoon of free, drop-in activities for all ages. It’s your first chance to explore our transformed space, get hands-on with creative workshops, and experience the buzz of our building coming alive again.
You can step onto the Main Stage and have your portrait taken, get stuck into badge making and screen printing, or explore exhibitions. You’ll also find heritage displays, memory-sharing stations, and the chance to meet our larger-than-life puppets, Comedy and Tragedy.
Whether you’re here to create, connect, or simply soak up the atmosphere, there’s something for everyone.
Sunday 24 August, 2025, 12 p.m. – 5 p.m.
Homecoming celebrations continue on Sunday with another full day of free activities, welcoming Glasgow back into the Citizens Theatre.
Building on Saturday’s procession and first look inside, Sunday offers even more opportunities to explore the building, take part in creative encounters, and connect with the stories that make the Citz so special.
You can step onto the Main Stage and have your portrait taken, get stuck into badge making and screen printing, or explore exhibitions. The Memory Station invites you to share your own Citz stories, and our puppets, Comedy and Tragedy, will be back to greet visitors of all ages.
Whether you’re returning for more or visiting for the first time, we invite you to come and be part of this new, exciting chapter for our theatre.
