Scorsese on Scorsese at GFT
Monday 27 May, 2024 at 6.15 p.m.
Professor Ian Christie, editor of the seminal book Scorsese on Scorsese, has spent countless hours interviewing master director Martin Scorsese, joining him on film sets and delving into the inspiration and creative process behind his greatest works, from Mean Steets and Taxi Driver, through Raging Bull and The Last Temptation of Christ, up to Goodfellas, Casino, and Gangs of New York.
In this special edition of GFT’s long-running Scorsese of the Month programme to mark their 50th Anniversary, Professor Christie will join GFT for an In Conversation event, providing an incomparable insight into Scorsese’s place in contemporary cinema, accompanied by rarely seen footage and behind-the-scenes images.

After the event, Professor Ian Christie will introduce a 35mm screening of Kundun on Monday 27 May at 7.45pm.
