Textile Repair, Sashiko with Keng Keng Watt – Climate Futures – For Ages 16 – 25

This Textile Repair series is part of Woodland Community’s Climate Futures program for people aged 16-25 years old.
Come along and try out the Japanese art of Sashiko, an ancient method of mending. This session will be facilitated by our guide expert artist/activist Keng Keng Watt who will explain different embroidery techniques, stitching, and patterns to the group.
Bring along a garment you would like to repair with this method or item of fabric. Repair materials and designs will be provided.
Keng Keng Watt is involved with community-based racial and social
justice movements running arts workshops in the community and

Only if you are aged 16-25! Additionally please only sign up if you are genuinely able to come to the session.
